Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy limits, excludes or modifies those rights. Everything set out below sits on top of them, not instead of them.

These rights apply to everything we sell — including products bought on sale, with a discount code, or as part of a bundle or box.

Changing your mind

We sell frozen food. Once an order has gone into a week's kitchen run we can't pull it back, and once it leaves us we can't verify it has stayed in the cold chain or resell it. So we don't accept change-of-mind returns of food that's been sent out.

What we can do:

  • Before your order's cut-off: cancel or change your order and we'll refund you in full, including the delivery charge. Just email info@tinybeetsfoods.com.au. We dispatch twice a week, so your cut-off depends on where you are — 11:00pm AEST Sunday for NSW, QLD, VIC and ACT, and 11:00pm AEST Tuesday for the main weekly run. The cut-off that applies to your order is shown at checkout.

  • After the cut-off, before it's sent: your order is already in that run's production and ingredients have been bought for it, so we can't promise a cancellation — but email us straight away and we'll do what we can. If we can cancel it, we may need to hold back the costs we've already incurred on your order. We'll tell you what those are before we process anything.

  • Once it's been sent: we can't take the food back for a change of mind.

None of this affects your rights if something is actually wrong with your order — that's covered next.

If your order arrives damaged, thawed or not right

Email us at info@tinybeetsfoods.com.au within 24 hours of delivery with:

  • your order number

  • clear photos of the parcel and the affected products

  • a short description of what's wrong

We ask for 24 hours so we can properly assess what happened while the evidence is still fresh — frozen food can't be checked after the fact. It is not a deadline on your rights. If you come to us later than that we'll still look at your claim; it may just be harder for us to work out what went wrong.

Please don't post frozen food back to us. Photos are enough. If we do need something returned, we'll arrange and pay for it.

What you get

Where there's a genuine problem with your order, you choose which of these you'd prefer:

  • a refund for the affected items

  • a replacement sent with your next delivery

  • a store credit

If the whole order is affected, we'll refund the full order including the delivery charge.

If the outer box looks roughed up but the food inside is still frozen and intact, that's the packaging doing its job and isn't grounds for a refund on its own. If the food itself has thawed, leaked or arrived damaged, that's a different story — tell us and we'll fix it.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to your original payment method — card, PayPal, Shop Pay, Afterpay or whatever you used. We can't refund to a different method.

Once we've approved a refund we process it within 2 business days. How long it takes to land depends on your bank or payment provider, usually 5–10 business days. If it's been longer than that, check with your bank first, then get in touch and we'll chase it up.

Return postage and delivery charges

  • If the problem is ours — damaged, thawed, faulty, wrong item, or any failure of a consumer guarantee — we cover any reasonable return or disposal costs you've had to pay, and we refund the delivery charge where the whole order is affected. Keep your receipts.

  • If you cancel before your order's cut-off — we refund everything you paid, including the delivery charge.

  • If we've agreed to a goodwill refund after your order has been sent — for example, a change of mind we've decided to accommodate anyway — the original delivery charge isn't refunded.

Refused and undeliverable deliveries

If you refuse delivery of your order, get in touch straight away at info@tinybeetsfoods.com.au. Our food ships frozen and needs to stay in the cold chain, so we look at refused deliveries case by case.

A few things help us help you: a correct delivery address at checkout, someone around to receive the parcel, and a quick heads-up if something's wrong.

Where an order can't be delivered because the address was wrong or incomplete, access was blocked, or the delivery was refused for a reason unrelated to a problem with the goods, we may not be able to refund the order or cover a re-delivery, because thawed frozen food can't be sent out again. We'll always contact you before we write off an order. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Questions or complaints

Email info@tinybeetsfoods.com.au — we usually reply within 1 business day. If you're not happy with how we've handled something, tell us and we'll look at it again.

If we can't sort it out between us, you can contact NSW Fair Trading or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory.
